I can not remember a time in my life when I did
not stop what I was doing to look up when ever I
heard an airplane fly overhead. Not counting
rubber band powered airplanes in the grocery
store check out lines, I flew my first powered
model in December 1975, when I was 8 years old.
Later in High School I graduated from control
line models to remote control models. I am
still very active with remote control aircraft
today.
In 2002 when I turned 35 I
finally achieved a life long dream, I obtained
my private pilot license. I also began
construction of a workshop on my property in
which to build the Murphy Moose kit aircraft
that I purchased... it was a busy year! In
addition to the Murphy Moose I am building I
have also built and registered a Quicksilver MX.
Unfortunately the MX was severely damaged in a
wind storm and is currently hanging from rafters
in my shop. |
